Open Door Shelter Ministry (4th Tuesday from 5-7:00 p.m.)
​

Every 4th Tuesday an FBC group meets at Open Door Ministries at 5:00 p.m. to help serve soup and sandwiches. Soup is prepared before hand and sandwiches are made on site. This is a time for us to serve, and fellowship with our surrounding community. Can't be there at five? Thats ok come as soon as you can. We will be there until seven. If you are interested in helping or would like to know more please contact BJ Clary at 336-847-3627.

FBC Blessing Box
​

Open to all in our community! Anyone can take what they need, so please leave what you can when you can. The box is located directly in front of the church. It is filled with canned food (with pop tops) band-aids, diapers, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, hand warmers and more.

A Simple Gesture
How it Works:
  • Sign up to participate to get your green bag from the church. To sign up or for more questions please contact our Missions Chairman, Lisa Powell by email or by phone at 336-908-3427 or visit A Simple Gesture online

  • Once signed-up just purchase one non-perishable food item a week and store it in the green bag (each bag has a suggested most needed items list, along with the scheduled pick-up dates).

  • ​On the designated pick-up day (one Saturday every other month) leave the bag on your front porch. A volunteer will pick up the bag leave another bag in its place and deliver the filled bags to the food pantries listed below. (Volunteer Drivers are also needed!, be sure to ask upon sign up).

Mobile Meals
(5th Monday or Thursday
at 9:30 a.m.)

Every fifth Monday or Thursday (whatever comes first) a group of FBC volunteers meet at 9:30 a.m. at Triangle Lake Montessori Elementary School to deliver meals to those who are in need. Volunteers are needed to deliver the packed meals to homes. Volunteers will receive a clip board with the addresses and how many meals to deliver at each location. Delivery normally takes about an hour to an hour and a half. For more information or to participate please contact Carole and Darrel Meredith.

John's Totes (Tuesdays
at 9:00 a.m.)

On Tuesdays at 9 a.m. a group meets at FBC in the sewing machine room to make tote bags for patients that are being discharged from High Point Regional Hospital. Patients receive a bag with an encouraging note to assist in their discharge. Don't know where the sewing machine room is? Ask the receptionist they will be glad to assist you.

Helping Hand Ministry

Could you use help with errands, small home repairs, etc? We would like to know the needs of our community and those who may be willing to help with those needs. Please call us at 336-883-0178.

Prayer Shawl Ministry (Wednesdays at Noon)
​

Every Wednesday a group meets in the Library at FBC to make prayer shawls to give to the hospitalized, sick, and to the families that have lost a loved one. This is a time of fellowship and prayer.
