Helping Hand Ministry
Could you use help with errands, small home repairs, etc? We would like to know the needs of our community and those who may be willing to help with those needs. Please call us at (336) 883-0178.
Prayer Shawl Ministry (Wednesday's at Noon)
Every Wednesday a group meets in the Library at FBC to make prayer shawls to give to the hospitalized, sick, and to the families that have lost a loved one. This is a time of fellowship and prayer.
FBC Blessing Box
Open to all in our community! Anyone can take what they need, so please leave what you can when you can. The box is located directly in front of the church. It is filled with canned food (with pop tops) band-aids, diapers, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, hand warmers and more.
A Simple Gesture
How it Works:
Sign up to participate to get your green bag from the church. To sign up or for more questions please contact our Missions Chairman, Lisa Powell by email or by phone at 336-908-3427 or visit A Simple Gesture online.
Once signed-up just purchase one non-perishable food item a week and store it in the green bag (each bag has a suggested most needed items list, along with the scheduled pick-up dates).
On the designated pick-up day (one Saturday every other month) leave the bag on your front porch. A volunteer will pick up the bag leave another bag in its place and deliver the filled bags to the food pantries listed below. (Volunteer Drivers are also needed!, be sure to ask upon sign up).

Volunteers are needed to deliver the packed meals to homes. Volunteers will receive a clip board with the addresses and how many meals to deliver at each location. Delivery normally takes about an hour to an hour and a half. For more information or to participate please contact Carole and Darrel Meredith.
